4corsa Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Yes, I got them this morning as well - around 100 in all. I kept marking them as spam. Many thanks to Jaap and Docc for fighting the battle to ultimate victory Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk 1
docc Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 I wonder if those who received these have the "Push" notifications enabled in their profile? [Jan 24 edit: This is not the issue. Deselect "Technical Topics" in "Manage Followed Content." ] 2
4corsa Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 I do have push notifications enabled on my phone.Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk 1

guzzler Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 G'day folk's I never received any of these emails but I did have an issue... My emails had a hissy fit last night and I had to change password and reset links to my work laptop and printer this morning! All is good now but I wonder if it was anything to do with this carry on? Phew glad I have decent security! Cheers Guzzler 2

knumbnutz Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Question.. could you put a roadblock to joining until this goes away. Add some detailed questions before they can join that only a Guzzisti would know? It would be easier than deleting account after account and their posts wouldnt it? 2
knumbnutz Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Questions like - Where did Teo move to ? Which lake in Italy has the windiest tunnel? If I raced moto guzzis, what kind of doctor would i be? 2 1

Pressureangle Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 You guys are fast, I reported one just before I saw this thread. I don't get email notifications (from anywhere but a couple sparsely-populated, infrequent forums) so I wasn't spammed, important to note I think since that would indicate a penetration of the member email database. 1

That would be my concern if the spam email were coming directly from the spammer. [edit: The Notifications are simply coming to those who have listed Technical Topics as content to follow. ] Round two: I just flagged four [edit: eight for Round Two] more users this morning. Probably fighting with a robot . . . 4
