Apologies for restarting the poll, but it was correctly pointed out to me that mixing kilometers and miles for the poll was a bad idea and might skew the results of the survey.

So with that in mind, apologies in advance to those global members that read their "mileage" in kilometers, but I have standardized this poll on miles. And for those members, I would like to ask that they convert and estimate their "mileage" in miles for the purpose of this survey.

Hopefully, with this survey, we can get a general idea when these springs typically fail.

Also, if you have had a repetitive failure, please feel free to respond below and note the frequency and interval of the subsequent failures.

Thanks in advance ^_^

Again, apologies to those that will need to repost their replies. Hopefully it was only 2 or 3 individuals

This is a great inconvenience, having to post twice. I shall accept your apology – this time.

2002 bike (Scura) at 1,200 miles

Have not had another failure since I started carrying my Karma Spring. To be honest, I don't see how it could possibly fix an oversized boss. If it happens again at least I'm prepared. :luigi:

Please, it's great to precise if your bike isn't a 2002 model.

If so, thanks to precise your serial frame and motor to be sure about the year of made. :pic:

Well, Mr infamous Sweep, people have been looking for you (because they want to speak to you about..........).

Your big question is:

what size is the coil boss on your ratchet arm?

If it is 16.5ish mm then we will be delighted. If it is 15mm then we will be very gloomy indeed.

Have you measured it?

PS maybe this poll thread should be pinned so that people can respond to it over the next month or so or until a useful amount of info is gathered?

2002 Scura w/5500 miles and it has not broke yet. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Not while riding of course....

In an earlier post Sweep says dealer found 15mm boss. I'd like to speak with his dealer about this, I pm'd Sweep but he did not reply.
