2 weeks ago I sent these guys:

http://daes-mototec.de/

A wire transfer to order a set of adjustable clip-ons. (see photo below) The transfer was completed early last week. Since then Das Mototec hasn't responded to any email.

Their website lists their phone number as: "07176 - 3729" I found the country code for Germany to be 49. I'm dialing 011 - 49 - 07176 - 3729 and the call doesn't go through. (From California)

Does anybody know if I need a city code too?

Their full contact info is:

Try this: 0049 - 7176 - 3729

Last weekend on the V11 meeting I heard that Roland Däs was extremely busy. In a one person shop that's probably the reason why he doesn't answer your email.

It took me four weeks of emails before I could get a wire transfer done correctly to Das Mototec. Eventually, the bank got it right and things started rolling, after that, the parts arrived in the usual international shipping time frame. Wire transfers suck big time. The cost at the USA end is usually about $30 and some places charge another $30 to the person picking up the funds. This happened to me at the beginning of the year when I bought a complete set of injectors from a fellow in France. We both got charged for the transfer, bringing the charge fees to 40% of the purchase price. For this stuff, PayPal rules. Unfortunately, Das Mototec doesn't do PayPal or credit cards and their bank is just obscure enough to make wire transfers a major chore. Nice guys though, they sent me actual photographs of they're bikes when they didn't have a catalog.

I have used western union for a transfer to the usa, I go to the postoffice,

pay the ammount, and after that, the recipient can pick up the money at an western union agent. The free was some 10% for the amount I payed.

Paypal works, but both sides need to have an account, which takes time to open, and I think it's expensive.

I got an email from Das Mototec today. The wire transfer went through, and they are shipping the parts tomorrow.

I'll post photos when the bars get here and I put them on.

Thanks everyone for the info.
