Jet-hotting the pipes

So I am looking into keeping the pipes shiny - just received a quote from the boys at Jet Hot. You might be curious about this:

"The price to coat the pipes (no mufflers) with the sterling silver

finish is $145+s&h back. Add $20 for the flat black, blue or grey finish.

We'll need them here for 3-5 days plus shipping time back.If the parts

are chrome or nickel plated, add $40 to the total and 2 days for

stripping. All parts receive a 3 year unlimited guarantee that covers chipping,

peeling, cracking, discoloration, rusting. New parts also get a

lifetime rust through warranty as well. We just sent you, by priority mail,

information that should help you make your decision. You should have

this within a few days. This packet contains several independent technical

articles, a JET-HOT 20 page brochure, and a video."

Has anyone had some experience here? Seems really affordable for a great look!

I had the 2-into-1 pipe on my dual sport thumper Jet-Hot coated in sterling silver about 2 years ago. Great folks, and I was extremely happy with the result. Their process is "similar" to many out there but of course they claim theirs is proprietary (and of course it's the best available). In any case, I found that they know what they're doing, do it very well, and provide great phone service before & after.

I have their "sterling" finish, which is somewhere between a "frosty" chrome and aluminum color. It's holding up fine, hasn't discolored, and seems durable.

They also have colors like black, and a "titanium" flat gray that isn't listed, which looks quite good.
