mikev Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 While replacing my grips, found that the bar end insert for right side mirror is stripped and no longer tightens. Anyone know how I can fix it or where to find more of them? Don't really want to buy a new mirror just to get this little plastic part.
Weegie Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 How are they assembled, as I don't know Napoleon? Picture might help Most come with a bolt through the mirror that goes into either a sliding 2 part mechanism or just a block of rubber with a hole up the center that fits inside the bar. If it's like that I'd just get a cylindrical rubber block that will fit inside the bar and use a flanged nut on the end 2
mikev Posted February 12, 2023 Author Posted February 12, 2023 It's the block of rubber style. I bought a lag sleeve at hardware store and sanded it down to fit inside the bar. Seems ok ...
mikev Posted April 10, 2023 Author Posted April 10, 2023 My cheap fix for mirrors seemed ok on a static bike in the garage over the winter, but when I took it out for a ride last week and got up to speed neither held in place well, so I bought a pair of these on MG Cycle. https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=41&products_id=5615 1
