al_roethlisberger Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 Very nice, that fairing never loses its appeal. And I guess it would be cool that it was Ewan's... https://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-Moto-Guzzi-V11-Sport/224080450606 I'm not sure if the Magni or Laverda fairing looks better, but the Magni is awesome

Personally I couldn't care less who the previous owner was as long as he looked after it. I wouldn't pay a premium for it thats for sure. Ciao 4
Kane Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 Mark of Moto Guzzi Classics in Long Beach / Signal Hill, CA, has just posted a bunch of bikes on the local CL. Lots of cool pics of vintage MG’s: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=moto+guzzi&sort=rel I took a look at the Cal/Cafe Racer conversion and the 850T last time I was there. Both are very nice. The 850T was a trip for me as that is the model I had back in the day, the one that infected me with Guzzi Fever. Mark does great restorations and is a great guy! 3

Dunno what his reserve is, but we'll see. Which model came with 1/4 fairing, Marzocchi/Sachs and clipons? The Sport standard? 6 bidders and 49 watchers. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-Moto-Guzzi-V11-Sport/184347509167?hash=item2aebf7c1af:g:8fIAAOSwFbFe8jT- It's now a Seattle CL listing. Asking $6700.
4corsa Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Just saw this listed on Facebook Guzzis for sale. Holy crap. 1
docc Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 I suppose it is correct to store a bike with no spark plugs if it is to sit twenty years? 1

Chuck Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Replace the spark plugs with screw in desiccant cartridges. 2 1
4corsa Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 I just hope one of our EU members buys this so we can hear all about it! 1
LowRyter Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Why does anyone buy a bike (or car) and not ride it? 1

po18guy Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 There is also lubricant/preservative sprays to fog the cylinders.

docc Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Not sure it will actually sell for 14,000€ (17,000 US $ !) . . . ? So, would he make maybe $5,000 US over twenty years less whatever costs of storage, insurance, etc? Even without any costs factored in, that's well less than 2% interest compounded over those twenty years. Probably should have ridden it!
