Looks like a clean bike, but I have to say, I have never heard of a California "Special Sport" before. Can anyone identify from the photos what it really is?

The Special Sport is a name they put on the Bassa after 2000.. I’ve owned 3 Bassa. Really good bikes if you like the cruiser style. I did a lot of traveling on mine.

The listing was ended by the seller for "error in the listing" . . .

I wonder what the reserve might be?

Not a V11 but a nice 2007 Norge if someone is interested. He's on FB, I'll get contact info for anyone not on FB that needs it.

Good looking bike . I'd say BUY IT !

BTW , these people that put a price on it is because they know what it means to them . Don't work on them too much on the price .

That red LeMans was mine for a while. It has a lovely set of four Speedhut gauges (tach, speedo, oil, volt) and extensive powdercoating. There are a few threads here about that bike for anyone who wants to investigate. Looks like it got a set of bar risers since I owned it.

I knew that bike looked familiar.   I remember when you got it.

Sadly, I haven't seen this baby on the street, being in Tucson. But soon, I'll be representing the V11s in Southern Arizona getting my Scura back on the road. Man, something about these bikes. That "chug." Been riding my CB1100 and my Valkyrie lately. Total opposites of a V11. But the Scura now lives again.

I'll be sure to post up the first ride out of hiatus.

If you live in the Australian/New-Zealand part of the world, one member of the Quota Facebook congregation is selling his immaculate 1994 Moto Guzzi Quota, 11,000 original miles. 15,000 Australian dollars OBO.

Check it out as it is really stunning, beautiful.

The link didn't work for me just now. The message said "connection to the server facebook.com failed". Maybe facebook was having kittens, or maybe my interwbe connection, or maybe the page has been taken down.  :huh2:
