audiomick Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Looks like a clean bike, but I have to say, I have never heard of a California "Special Sport" before. Can anyone identify from the photos what it really is?

audiomick Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Ah, ok. This: https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/moto guzzi/moto_guzzi_california_special 98.htm Even so, I can't quite come to grips with "California" and "Sport" in any kind of correlation. 1
fotoguzzi Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 The Special Sport is a name they put on the Bassa after 2000.. I’ve owned 3 Bassa. Really good bikes if you like the cruiser style. I did a lot of traveling on mine. 5

Speedfrog Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Beautiful Bike!! The listing was ended by the seller for "error in the listing" . . . I wonder what the reserve might be? 3 1
Speedfrog Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Someone over on MGNOC is selling a V11 Sport fuel tank, early model w/ chinpad. Looks to be in good condition . . . if anyone here is interested. https://www.mgnoc.com/classifieds.html 1 1
Randy Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Not a V11 but a nice 2007 Norge if someone is interested. He's on FB, I'll get contact info for anyone not on FB that needs it. 1
obliviousmonkey Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Saw this on CL he’s reduced the price once from $7200. Looks like it could be the perfect bike for someone. https://tucson.craigslist.org/mcy/d/green-valley-2003-moto-guzzi-v11-lemans/7712512091.html 1 1
gstallons Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Good looking bike . I'd say BUY IT ! BTW , these people that put a price on it is because they know what it means to them . Don't work on them too much on the price . 2
Scud Posted February 29 Posted February 29 That red LeMans was mine for a while. It has a lovely set of four Speedhut gauges (tach, speedo, oil, volt) and extensive powdercoating. There are a few threads here about that bike for anyone who wants to investigate. Looks like it got a set of bar risers since I owned it. 2 2

But soon, I'll be representing the V11s in Southern Arizona getting my Scura back on the road. Man, something about these bikes. That "chug." Been riding my CB1100 and my Valkyrie lately. Total opposites of a V11. But the Scura now lives again. I'll be sure to post up the first ride out of hiatus. 3 1
p6x Posted April 10 Posted April 10 If you live in the Australian/New-Zealand part of the world, one member of the Quota Facebook congregation is selling his immaculate 1994 Moto Guzzi Quota, 11,000 original miles. 15,000 Australian dollars OBO. Check it out as it is really stunning, beautiful. https://www.facebook.com/groups/217158779456217/?multi_permalinks=1155383002300452¬if_id=1712744953201362¬if_t=group_activity&ref=notif
audiomick Posted April 11 Posted April 11 The link didn't work for me just now. The message said "connection to the server facebook.com failed". Maybe facebook was having kittens, or maybe my interwbe connection, or maybe the page has been taken down.
