I talked to him quite a bit while he was there. He offered to deliver them to my house if I bought them. 13k was a few hundred more than what he paid for them less than a year ago. I though he was a bit high on his asking price, so I declined. And let me just say, if I misunderstood his pricing, that's my bad. But I think I heard him right. If you spoke in person, I'm sure you must be right. $13k seems optimistic, the $9000 he dropped to immediately after the rally is fairly significant.
docc Posted September 26 Posted September 26 7 hours ago, Joe said: Docc looks stock but could it be a 2002 rear wheel installed on an 01? Would it even fit? Yes, the 5.5" from the LongFrames will fit the earlier ShortFrames. I've just never seen or heard of a 5" "Racing" rim for the early Sports. None of the later bikes had silver rims like that, but a later 5.5" rim could have been color changed, of course. 7 hours ago, MotoKnee said: If you spoke in person, I'm sure you must be right. $13k seems optimistic, the $9000 he dropped to immediately after the rally is fairly significant. Yet, that $13,000 was for the pair of V11? While the Greenie is priced $8,500US, by itself, now?

The seller then lowered the price to $9000 each. ?? 1

It looks brand new on the photos... 1
activpop Posted September 27 Posted September 27 He was asking 13k each at the rally. I never saw the ad for the reduced price of 9K for each. They were beautiful, but not priced for a quick sale. Lots of trailered miles on them now. 1
MotoKnee Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Sorry for the confusion Docc. Here's the deal. I noticed the ebay ad a few days before the John Day rally. The ad read 2 V11s for sale, and a price of $13,000. No mention of $13k each. Hence the inference that $13k was for the pair, not just by me but also a friend that I sent the link to see if he wanted one. I guess we are both idiots. I checked the ad immediately after the rally and the price had been dropped to $9000. I still assumed it was for the pair as there was still no mention of $9k each. This price was only up for a day or two, then the ad went away. I no longer cared because it was at this time I had found a Greenie locally. It wasn't until Activpop mentioned he had spoken with the seller and the price was $13k each, that the $9k must have also been for each. I only posted in the first place because in the original ad, he gave more history and details, including the extra wheel, and thought maybe someone else had seen it. 1

I also recall the Two-for-One sale pricing. Yet, the confusion is not ours. Best regards to the seller of these nice V11. Caveat emptor , as always . . . 1
activpop Posted September 27 Posted September 27 I wonder where this one went? They were both in pristine condition. 2
Delloman Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Pretty certain owner of these bikes is not a member Docc. Re your question Activpop... might be able to get more info... if its still for sale etc... if anyone is interested. Also owner misquoted size of rear rim re Greenie, its 5.5 inch. I lucked out recently, managing to snare the c/f chin pad, titanium cans & hangers along with the 5.5 inch rear rim as owner returned to original condition. 1

4corsa Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Not really sure where to post this, but last night on a trip to Paris with my wife, I stumble upon this beauty in an antique store window (called Lila's Antiquities). Seems to be all aluminum Guzzi - not sure what the donor model is. Went back today to arrange for shipping (), but they are closed til Wednesday. Leaving Paris tomorrow, but will be emailing them soon. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk 4
audiomick Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Going by the frame rail in front of the side-cover, I dare say it is a Tonti frame. But that could be any one of a large number of models. Could you see enough of the motor to see if it is a "round" motor or one of the newer ones with corners on the fins? 1
4corsa Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Unfortunately, I could not. And it was blocked by that table. 1
activpop Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Under a day left for this beauty. Looks pretty in pictures. https://www.ebay.com/itm/135297415232?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=JsG_JT2hQdy&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=yxbzt_qctd2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY 1
p6x Posted November 4 Posted November 4 i found this 1993 Moto Guzzi daytona es 1000 for sale on FB Marketplace; listed in Ohio for 23k USD. I think I reported it before. Seller says it only has the original 11 miles that were accrued during factory testing. It is #39 out of the only 117 in total shipped to the USA. It was never titled, the seller advertized it as a "collector" item. I guess that a bike that never ran for 31 years most likely requires a complete overhaul before start. Questions: how can you title a motorcycle which has never been titled before, even if it was imported in 1993? can you purchase a vehicle and not title it?
