I believe I've seen a few people write about how much they want a Coppa Italia... here's your chance:

Another one of those crazy owners of low mile special edition bikes that goes balls out on the mods! :oldgit:  :grin:  hehehe (JUST KIDDING SCUD BUDDY!)

 

 

I mean, honestly... who would put so much money and effort into a bike and then not ride it farther than their tank of ethanol-free gas will take them?   ;) (batting it back over the net to you...)  :grin:

That Coppa is sweet, but $10k? They clearly expect to get the cost of the mods back out of it.

Around here that ain't how it works. The more you mod a bike the less of what you spent will actually come back to you when you sell it.

Lovely bike, too bad they don't ride it. Hope the next owner does.

Wow not too many of those v65s around. Oddbike had an article on Guzzi dual sport bikes, like you say waaay ahead of the curve.

The V65TTs must have been selling at the same time as the R80GS BMWs. Look what's happened to that segment of the market since those bikes - now we have "Adventure" bikes. Similar story as SUVs in the car/truck world - and only a small percentage of owners actually take them off-road.

 

I had never seen a V65TT before; it's groovy... and I suppose part the story of which the Stelvio is the current chapter. I would seriously consider a diesel Stelvio - if one were to be featured in the next chapter - like a 100 year anniversary edition.

The tt was sold beside the 650 NTX, a 650 NTX came up for sale last week but on the other side of OZ and I was working on the weekend.....it sold before I could organise flights etc. The NTX is a nice package, decent tank and suspension etc, but the TT is a bit messy - sidestand too flimsy, tank too small, just not quite thought out. I've ridden with a guy who was on an NTX 750 , an ex paris dakar bike ....VERY nice. Realistically, my 640 is a much better adv bike but I still have an itch to own a small block adv guzzi. I'll probably just wait until the fuel injected v7 's are cheap enough to convert. Hmmm...the front end from my 640 , some ohlins out the back........

Bummer you missed that. The fly and ride would have been a true adventure. Cross-continent? You'd need some roo-busters.  At risk of continue to drift off topic... a set of Marzocchi Shivers off an early 2000's Husqvarna would give you a lovely long pair of golden Italian legs... and be easy to live with.

I like seeing these neat 'transitional' bikes... not really transitional per se, but old style being sold in a model year that had many updates and changes.

Here's a Tenni in the San Diego area, just posted a day ago.  Approximately 31k miles.  

 

It's well loved, but not too bad.  Someone fitted a nice Penske rear shock.
