dashboard speedometer problem

hi everyone ,

just acquire a v11 le mans from 2000 . i have a problem with the speedometer : the trip km works but the overall km stand stay stuck .

Does it make any sense to open the unit and try to fix it , maybe a resistor or other electrical parts is faulty , or is it a common issue that is not easily fixed ?

That is exactly how mine failed. It was a broken gear within the mechanism. There are many posts here about installing a Speedhut speedo.

Your problem may be different but that's my guess.

Hi Igor. I see you are in Belgium. It might be feasible for you to simply send it to Casa di Moto in Bielefeld in Germany to get repaired.

I haven't had anything done there (yet), but every time someone asks a similar question to yours in the German forum that I visit, someone recommends them, often several people do so.
