It did not take much to exacerbate the quality of the forces on track!

It was quite impressive to see how experience is still the thing...

This weekend, we have Moto America at COTA.

A QUOTA @COTA?...

lol!

It is not out of the question that Marc Marquez could win this years title. But if he can't win it I suspect he would rather Jorge Martin win it. Hopefully that won't happen again.

I agree with you.

I have to come back on my previous statement that Marc Marquez would be doing the "arbitrage" between Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin.

When you look at the last two GP, Aragon and Misano, Marc Marquez becomes untouchable as soon as the track condition are complicated.

In Aragon, the asphalt was terrible after the two showers on Friday and Saturday night.

In Misano, the rain during the race demonstrated that our two major protagonists can't fare up to Marc Marquez. Bagnaia admitted that he could not keep Marc's pace.

After the next Misano GP, the caravan embarks for the offshore dates, and there, anything can happen in terms of weather. If any of these poor conditions are met, my money is on Marc Marquez to be able to reel in the two top Ducatisti.

53 points difference with Jorge Martin and 7 more GP left, Marc can easily come back.

Sooo....

Just got back home from a long Quota week-end.

What is your take on Enea Bastianini's limit overtake of Jorge Martin?

Should it have been penalized?

Marc Marquez said it should have been, because according to the rules, if you exceed the track limits, you have to drop one position.

But in any case, the stewards panel chose to not do anything, given the other major event during the race.

rub'n is racin'

The Beast was chasing and Jorge was blocking him for 4 laps.  Sooner or later the faster guy is coming through.  He was patient until the last opportunity and didn't give Jorge a 2nd chance.  It would've been the case if their positions were reversed.

Race direction's interpretation agrees with your take.

I am eager to see the feed-back today.

it's not like the riders have their panties in a bunch.  Geeees, where's the hate?   Fights?  Yelling?

Crap, they're laughing about it like buddies.

If Marc said anything negative about the pass that is funny. Had Marc been in Enea Bastianini's place he likely would have put Martin on the ground. At least Bastianini was able to make the pass without serious contact or putting Martin on the ground. I didn't have an issue with it. I was rooting for Martin, but it was a good pass. Penalizing it would be a mistake in my opinion. Also, it did not look like Bastianini went off track, only Martin.
