this came with the RAM clutch/flywheel assembly. it is for the five speed trans.

it is unnecessary for the six speed. it's not even good for a spare :(

if you want it post: "I want it" in this thread. First post gets it.

I'll pay shipping continental US. shoot me a message with your address after you post here.

if you live in a foreign land you can pay shipping :bier:

thanks

Admittedly over my pay grade;I don't know my way around the innards of these guzzis that well.

At some point in the near future; I have to pull the Tonti 5 speed tranny on my CX100,to address an u/k scarf issue and am planning to upgrade the output/input? from 2 to 4 mm splines? & do the clutch at the same time.

Is your part that you've kindly offered, involved in that whole job or it it something that would be useful to help line the whole works up on installing a new clutch?

If so,I'd gratefully pay for shipping to Canuckistan.

Plmk tks very much

80CX,

I can't say for certain. My guess is no :D

My understanding is that a spare gearbox input hub can be used as a clutch alignment tool, in this case for a 5-speed transmission. :luigi:

Hey Docc tks for confirming my memory of things;you're right I just confirmed with Dave Richardson's "Guzziology" & if that's what they're calling an input spline,it can be used to align the new clutch plates going on.

Hey CDR "I want it" :D

I'll send you a pm to work out the details.

Tks very much

And again, YES PLEASE.

Cheers Tom.

80CX,

Doc is of course correct. But.

The internal spline is five speed. The external spline is six speed. Won't fit your clutch plate. It's half and half.

80CX got here first, fair and square. But it won't do what he thinks.

TomChri also wants it and knows exactly what it is.

AFAIAC it's 80CX unless he wants to forfeit to Tom.

Ball is in 80CX court. If you don't mind confirming you still want it, it will let me feel like I have served fairness. Or something.

Thanks for everyone's patience. Sorry for confusion.

because I'm an idiot I bought a five speed clutch hub wrench, as shown

it too, is useless to me

the other picture shows it overlaid on the RAM (six speed) clutch hub. the pic is terrible, but they are not the same

here's a possible solution.

I can send the wrench to 80CX (which is something he can use)

I can send the hermaphrodite clutch hub to Tom

whatever 80CX wants :sun:

Hey CDR & everyone else on this thread, sorry I'm slow replying, been busy on a few things,,,including a good thrashing of my Lemans, lol

I definitely defer to your obvious knowledge & expertise,sounds like a win/win.

Tom gets the input spline he needs and I get the wrench I need. :luigi:

Tks very much for taking the time to provide photos & a detailed explanation.

CDR,replying to your pm very shortly to work out the details

Cool.

I will go to pms and confirm address and get stuff out asap.

I'm rural so I don't get into town every day. I will keep you informed.

Honestly, the clutch hub would have been a paperweight for you. The wrench will be useful.

All right. That was easy. Thanks to all!
