red lion Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 When balancing the throttle bodies should the air bypass screws be open one full turn, Or closed when balancing and opened one turn when finished balancing?
docc Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 The manual says to balance with them closed. I finally went with the theory that balancing at "some rpm" (like 3000) it's fine to leave them open then use them to make the final balance at idle, if necessary. Of course my theories have been lacking before . . . 1 1
docc Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 As frustrating and maddening as the TPS setting (and even a GuzziDiag connection) can be, throttle body balance on a V11 is a satisfying delight. Right up with pulling the feeler gauge through for the perfect valve clearances. 3
cash1000 Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Did mine at weekend (Thanks for the lend of the Manometer MartyNZ). Runs heaps better. I know now not to unscrew the knob on left hand side. Rod unhooks on right hand side 5
