Ok, thanks. The nipple in the U-joint I bought looks very similar to the large one in your picture, but the thread is also larger.
activpop Posted August 18, 2023 Author Posted August 18, 2023 I'm going to try these. No doubt about it, the ebay ones rub the inside of the yoke at the tip of the nipple. I'll post up a pic to show. Maybe someone can spot something I did wrong. https://www.fittings.space/ssg21-m8x10m-90 If they swing too close to the cross recess, I'll grind down a nut to serve as a spacer.

I can't imagine accessing a 90º Zerk without cutting a relief in the safety collar . . . .

Right now I am just brainstorming what to do...can't put it back the way it is now, there is not full articulation. My hunch is possibly the manufacture and dimensions of these zerks has changed a bit since the 2018 link. I'll work it out somehow. 1
