I may not make it this year- the past couple months have been... painful...
Outside of the 'Alaska trip' in which we didn't make Alaska, but was awesome, I've been buried by BS.
Representative of my status, I took my Mom's unused 2004 Yukon as a tow vehicle to collect my '04 busted crank pickup from San Antonio. 1300 miles from Michigan to Florida, rock solid. 300 miles from home towards TX, the fuel pump takes a crap. No biggie, but the shop ran me around the flagpole for 5 days before simply declining the job. So me and $750 went over to Harbor Freight and did it myself in the Tallahassee Best Western parking lot.

Well, at least it made me feel like I was 19 again. Somehow that isn't particularly satisfying.

"A country (Florida) boy will survive!"  Hope to see you in Tellico Plains!

Hey there All,  I am getting things together for the XX gathering. This morning I connected the 02 Lemans to my laptop and ran DIAG to make sure every thing was up to spects. Installed a freshened up set of iridium side gaped spark plugs. Changed the brake, clutch and trans fluids, also checked engine oil that was just changed not so long ago.  I believe that I am good to go, keeping my fingers crossed. Am bringing the lap top, all cables, charger, manometer, fan, spare 02 Scura ECU, and misc.(possible Test & Tune event)

I had two others ditch on me (won't say who), so coming solo this time but that's ok because I know I'll be in good company.  See all of you then.

I love it that @Skip came to the Kentucky SpineRaid asking, "Show me how to do this ." :nerd:

Now he comes to the SSR and says, "Let's do this !" :luigi:  :sun:

"Get There/ Bring Tools", indeed . . . :mg:

Finally finished the 12K service on my V85, my mount for the SSR XX.

No, it's not that difficult, but I sometimes think that I put the "pro" in procrastination.

I did muse about riding the venerable hotdog & mustard EV after a nice local jaunt yesterday with Bob Wegman, Master Guzzi Wrench Bob Wegman who rode down form Rochester to rescue me from myself :luigi: -- R&R'd the V85's over-long OEM side stand with a shorter one (also OEM, but chopped and re-welded).

But the V85 won the toss.

Kathi's still out in the PNW, but gets back just in time to drive the support vehicle.

AJ brought back a Convert from Tennessee a few days ago  ...

... but will, as planned, be on his Guardia, a twin to mine.

My rear tire is still in my living space.

Two nails on the 1500 mile Dunlop. One, ok with plug. Guzzi content
The second, 1.5 inches from the first.
No bueno.

Still may make it.

Hm... tasty

But you're a few hours farther than my start point in Lavonia, GA. I do have a proper tire machine available to me here, as well.
