The bashing continues: he says at the start that he never was interested in adventure bikes, but for the test he miracuolasly has a retro enduro helmet to wear. Further: as in the last video, brand new spiffy clothing appropriate to the bike in question, and meticulously aged boots. And he is constanly striking poses. I'm pleased that he liked the bike, but I still reckon he is a bit of a twat. And Monica is a shit camera operator. Concur on "poses," etc. Much else is overstudied, too, but a few beers at the SSR would fix that. For me, however, always charmed by a woman's laugh, Monica's giggle at c.18:40 makes it all forgivable. Bill 11 hours ago, docc said: Perhaps they should swap positions. I remember doing that with girls (in the distant past) and it worked out swimmingly . . . Do tell. Please. Tho maybe waiting for the Lodge's pavilion at Tellico might be wiser. Bill 1 2
guzzler Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Ha ha, speaking of Nayook and Noojee! The planets have aligned and me and ole mate Dave are off on a wee jaunt to the high country again in about an hour or so and will be heading through here on our way out! Of course, after great weather the last 2 weeks it decides yesterday to turn to SHIT. It's been about 2 years since we got away and in fact the last time ( Xmas hols in Jan.) the planets aligned for a day out on the bikes ( and it takes a planetary alignment for such these days) the bloody breather hose called it quits and put paid to that idea...so heres hoping no such bs this time. Cheers Guzzler. Ps not to mozz it, but it's looking likely to happen now! Woohoo bikes got new shoes and Tank bags packed and ready so I'd best get togged up myself. 3
p6x Posted yesterday at 02:54 PM Author Posted yesterday at 02:54 PM If you read my post about the new 2025 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport, I think Norton did a better job with the modern take on the Commando. It seems like everything Piaggio/Guzzi missed on the V7 Sport was done on the Commando.
docc Posted yesterday at 03:37 PM Posted yesterday at 03:37 PM I reckon the Guzzi V7 will be under $10000US while that Norton will be triple that?
GuzziMoto Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) Yeah, the Norton is cool, but it is in a different league than the V7 Guzzi. And while I like the Norton a lot, I don't think they will sell that many of them as there probably is not that big a market for a retro bike that expensive. I could be wrong, but I would bet a donut that Guzzi sells more V7 Sports then Norton sells those. And if you are in the market for a V7, the V7 Sport doesn't seem to have much wrong with it. I wonder if some people want it to be something other then what it is. There is "Sport" in the name, but it is not a sportbike or even a cafe racer. I picture the use of "Sport" here more like the way Tommy Lee Jones's character would call Will Smith's character "Sport" in the Men in Black movies. Edited 23 hours ago by GuzziMoto 2

The Norton is more expensive because at this point, they don't have any market, very few dealerships, all located in UK. I was only comparing the spirit of the V7 Sport reissue versus the Norton Commando. I have a feeling that, because of the so many iterations of the V7, Guzzi/Piaggio was very careful to make sure the V7 Sport would not encroach too much on the other models. I have no idea how much the Norton Commando costs; not even sure it will be produced en masse, and imported in the US. 1
billgreenman1 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago The romance vs. the reality. I don't even want to imagine how much it will cost. It would have to be really really good, and with all the other iterations in the recent past, I'm kinda having flashbacks to seeing the stuffed "Trigger" at the Roy Rogers museum... 1
