Unfortunately, the Quota will finish on a truck.... broken transmission....

This is the piece that may have broken on the Quota...

Anyone recognize what it is?

Not tranny. Rear wheel hub into rear drive, bevel box.

This a part of the cush-drive . correct ?

It is the bit between the final drive box and the rubber dampers in the rear wheel.

Part no. 18 in this diagram

I haven't actually read or heard of one of those "breaking", but the teeth can wear if it is run dry too long. It should have some grease on it on the splines on the drive side.
