antonio carroccio Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 That's a long drive or ride. Mandello is a couple hours ride north of Milan. Yeah, sure...! With a bicycle. Milano-Lecco is about 30 min. Maybe 45 if you take it easy.

Americans want torque since they don't know the italian way - full throttle stormsedge - in Roma, check the driving style of the scooters, you'll understand what I mean.
jrt Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 OK, it's been a few years since I've been there. Maybe I'm thinking of someplace else to Milan. I'll have to look on a map. I know I drove a couple hours from somewhere along the lake down to Milan. 30 minutes, eh? I can drive fast if I gotta, but I don't usually gotta.
Orson Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 I agree with jrt for a stopping-to-look-at-map-take-a-wrong-turn-backtracking Canadian such as myself...1.5 to 2 hours wouldn't be unusual
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted August 5, 2004 Author Posted August 5, 2004 One week to go and I am off to Germany and then Italy! Since I cannot find an opportunity to rent a Guzzi, I will have to settle for the Audi TT Roadster I have booked! I wonder if they have speed governors on rentals? I'll find out on the Autobahn. Hope to have some good pictures of Mandello!!
Guest dkgross Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 jim..did you check here? http://www.levolpiciccione.it/e/index.htm we met them when we were in Italy. GREAT people.
