activpop Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Putting a new tire on my bike. I noticed the grease on the rear wheel spline was white, thick and a bit sticky, albeit a bit on the light side. Anybody know what it is? I think regular grease might be too thin in hot weather.
Tomchri Posted July 9 Posted July 9 MP3 grease from BMW is white. Staburags from Kluber is a v good grease for the splines. Clean EVERYTHING, and light coating. Cheers Tom. 4
MartyNZ Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Like Tom said, Kluber Staburags NBU 30 PTM specified for BMW splines seems to work well. 2
LaGrasta Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Don't overthink it, just clean it and grease it. You'll be in there again in a few thousand miles anyway. Burn that rubber! 3 3
