Part number for rear brake light switch boot?

Ciao.  Unfortunately, my schedule NEVER permits me to make the ride for SSR (2 weeks into school), so instead of preparing for the ride, I have to content myself with deferred cleaning of the Tenni (Bubbles remains neglected in that regard).  Anywho, as I was wiping off the bug splatter and working rearward today, I realized that the rear brake switch boot is shot.  Reviewing the spare parts catalog, it looks like that boot is part of the "main cable kit".  Anybody have a part number for the boot individually, or an alternative part that works?

Yes, sadly, all of our connector boots are part of the wiring harness assemblies.

How can we find a solution for this?

So many of my connector boots are rock-hard or split . . .

This particular boot is identical to Ducati part no. 037141445.  Seems it is difficult, but not impossible, to find that part (found on Italian Iron website).

That topic (rubber boot for something or other...) came up in another forum just recently. I haven't looked into it myself, although my bikes have a couple that need replacing. To change them, one needs to get the pins (or sockets) out of the connector to be able to get the new rubber bit over the wires.

The point is, the boot on the connectors are pretty much a generic part. The don't really keep the water out or anything. Their main purpose is to stop the wires getting bent too severely where they come out of the connector. If they don't fit perfectly, it doesn't really matter, as long as the stay on (and aren't too ugly...).

It seems the only trick is finding someone who sells something suitable at prices that apply when the names of Italian motorcyles don't appear in the product description.
