Thanks for the info helicopterjim I won't mess with the buttons. I will have the dealer reprogram the PC111 when they do the TPS synchro.

Seems some confusion is bouncing around this thread.

The MDST (motorcycle diagnostic software tool) that most dealers have cannot re-program the fuel map giving you a custom map. What they can do is "add" units (fuel) across the board on these bikes to richen the entier map, or "subtract" units to lean the entire map. This is mostly done at idle with a gas analyzer plugged in.

This will not cure the flat spot but may make it better. It will also make rich spots richer and the lean spots less lean. Or, just the opposite, make the rich spots leaner and the lean spots even leaner!

More advanced software that very few dealers have (at least in the US) can actually get into the map and alter points within the mapping. You need a dyno and an A/F (air fuel ratio) sniffer to do this.

This method is good because you can run the dyno and alter A/F ratio while the bike is under load and at different rpm's. You need a good operator and a lot of time on a dyno.

The other way is with a Power Commander and tuning link software. This method is the easiest and very effective. It measure the A/F ratio at many throttle openings and loads and corrects to get the best A/F ratio.

One last note, You cannot "synch" the tps. You synch the throttle bodies.

You should also not adjust the tps after you have a PC and a custom map. This will throw the whole works slightly off. Keep it the same as when you had the map done.
