Good point on the torque.

Further to this docc I happened across this Aussie guys youtube channel a few years ago and was revisiting it because he's a Guzzi owner and has some interesting Guzzi tech stuff as well as some unusual bikes he rides and maintains and his wife also rides a Guzzi or did until recently. Anyway he's around our age lives in Melbourne, rides and maintains a few Guzzis and does pretty down to earth basic reviews. This one is 5 years old and has a few detail spec errors but is worth a viewing if you are interested in RE 650's and engine performance from an old guys perspective who also happens to ride and own a Guzzi and Benelli 1130 TNT and a rather nice Gilera Saturno.

Oh, yeah. Let's ask the other inmates on the ward if it's crazy for docc to lie awake at night thinking about another motorcycle :blink: . . .

I don't really expect Moto Guzzi to bring out any "serious" sport models in the foreseeable future.

At the main Piaggio Paris dealer, the Moto Guzzi models were relegated to the back of the store, while the window offered a direct view of the Aprilia ones. I don't think it was by chance. It was probably a dead give away.

Somehow, Moto Guzzi reminds me of the Maserati sad wanderings. Having been taken over by so many outfits, including Ferrari, which "regulated" what Maserati could propose, to avoid any serious competition with the master.

I think the V7 Sport was a real opportunity to make an impact, given the lack of new models. It is a bit like Triumph with the 1200; they have demoted the base model to make the 1200RS more attractive.

I saw a Guardia d'Onore model in the Encinitas showroom back in July.  Quite a good looking bike indeed.  Doesn't seem as "wide" visually as a Stelvio with the rear bags, very purposeful.  I'd be tempted to try one out, but I'm out of room in the garage...4 bikes and I can't even contemplate getting rid of any of them. Yours is setup quite nicely!

Thank goodness it doesn't have the "beak" that Multistradas do. That literally has kept me from buying one.

I blame all-y'all for this special variety of sleeplessness . . . :blink:

I found this video exclusively showcasing the 2025 Moto Guzzi;

I like the V100 Mandello "Wind Tunnel" model.

The V7 Sport is also really enticing. I wonder if you hit the tank with those rear view mirrors, the way they are placed at the end of the handlebar. That seems silly.

This was over way too quickly !

Well, now that I have a dealership that represents Piaggio a few miles away from home, I am hoping to see those bikes in the flesh.

I don't know about the fancy colored ones, which maybe limited editions, but I am certain the V7 Sport will be there.

I am still sulking about the digital display instead of getting two clocks though... because this is something not easy to transform.

Rest assured you wouldn’t be alone with that predicament . . . B)
