p6x Posted October 5 Posted October 5 First of all, I will be in Paris during that time. So, a quick hop using one of those fast train Paris to Milano is within the realm of possibility. I have not made up my mind yet. Nowadays, you no longer need to go to these sort of exhibitions in person given the number of YouTubers we will broadcast the event for you. Previously, it used to be possible to actually climb on the bikes, to get a feel for the position. I watched several of the Vlog of EICMA 2023, and it seemed that many manufacturers now prohibit seating on motorcycles. It was the case for Moto Guzzi for example. If you remove this ability, then there is not much reason to go there in person. In any case, I am planning to resplenish my motorcycling attire and accessories. 2
p6x Posted October 21 Author Posted October 21 if Moto.it is correct, there is not going to be any major change in the Guzzi line up. More like iterations based on existing models, and according to them, centered around the V7 line. I really thought Guzzi was going to come up with a mid size cubed bike; Triumph and its 400cc seem to be doing pretty well. That's a segment where Guzzi is not present. We heard a rumour that Guzzi was going to use the Aprilia parallel twin, so let's see if it happens. 2

Sadly, I came upon the truth that all night trains that used to be running every day between Paris and Milan have never resumed service after they were stopped by the pandemic. Same situation between Paris and Rome. Those trains were cheap, because slow. But it means you would travel on hidden time. Travel during the night, arrive in Milan in the morning, spend the day at EICMA, come back during the night. But it is now impossible. They only have fast trains running throughout the day, but not fast enough to give me enough time in EICMA and come back the same day. So, no... but it is not a big deal, because there are plenty of youtubers who are going to be there, and I am plenty certain Moto Guzzi has no real new model for us this year. 2
p6x Posted November 5 Author Posted November 5 (edited) Live stream of all the new bikes at EICMA; The show is opened to professional only today. They have already uploaded a lot of videos on YT. Its in French, but hey... Just about to bolt to the airport to air my head a little bit from all the US turmoil.... Edited November 5 by p6x 1
PJPR01 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 An Africa Twin version of the Stelvio...hard to believe they could not have come up with better color combination. Nonetheless, still a beautiful bike...
audiomick Posted November 6 Posted November 6 (edited) News posted in the German forum: the new V7 model still has 67 ps. There was initially some speculation that it might go up to 80, i.e. the V85 TT motor, but that is apparently not the case. It apparently does have a couple of Nm more torque, though. The pictures shows a green one with twin disks at the front and USD forks (good move, I reckon), which is apparently the "sport" version. Don't know what the other versions are. Edit: I see the white one with the slightly bored looking girl sitting on it has a single disk at the front. Can't say anything about the Stelvio, as I am ignoring it on account of an inground aversion to chook-chasers. Edited November 6 by audiomick 2
