Sporticus Posted October 27 Author Posted October 27 And to top it off, I have spark again!! Electronics are not my forte, so I won’t try to understand why this is working. I’m just going to go for a ride (once I put everything back together) and see if I get stranded. Thank you everyone!!
docc Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Certainly replace all of the relays with the new High Current versions. If issues persist, I would inspect, clean, and repair (if necessary) the ignition switch . . . 1

Everything performed flawlessly and it even restarted after I got home. Today’s adventure did NOT involve a trailer. 2

docc Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Battery terminals have been treated with the DeOxit and firmly tightened?
gstallons Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Good , these relays work together . when you have fuel pump power you will have ign. coil power . Now, get that thing fixed and get on the road .
Sporticus Posted October 27 Author Posted October 27 Happy to announce that it’s fixed. The only things not working are the trip odometer reset (I literally watched the reset shaft come flying out on the highway). Also, low fuel light is inop but I may have forgotten to plug the appropriate plug in when I last had the tank off. A brief ride today reminded me of why I love this thing.

Seemed like the "fix" was intermittent (?) What did it come down to, finally?
Sporticus Posted October 27 Author Posted October 27 Gstallons is 100% correct. I’m embarrassed that it took this long to discover. 1
docc Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Rereading the thread, it looks like it was the combination of both Relay #4 and Relay #5 . . . they work in tandem. 1
