DucatiGuzziIndian Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Thought it might be interesting to share pictures of our beloved V11's as we enjoy another popular pastime ... having a beer. Not encouraging drinking and riding at all... and I just want to reiterate how important it is that we are responsible motorcyclists. 1 beer is my limit if we are on the road and have lunch somewhere. On a longer trip we always make sure we get to the hotel early, park the bikes, then walk or taxi to a couple bars, pubs or breweries. Here in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. we are spoiled with hundreds of breweries and bars. Washington state, Oregon, Northern California and British Columbia all offer amazing riding, scenery and fantastic beer (and wine). Would love to see some interesting bars from around the world, if anyone cares to share. Pictures below are of the Last Frontier Saloon in Fall City, just 40 minutes east of Seattle. A very typical "dive bar" in this part of the world. I hope this thread is permissible and seen as being responsible. If not I apologize. 4

Mate, we're all grown-ups here. Put it out there, and assume the rest of us are capable of making responsible decisions. I don't see any need to apologise. Great idea for a thread. I went to a couple of pubs in the course of a ride with mates in Australia, but can only definitely place this one. https://www.flowerdalehotel.com.au/ It is here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=18/-37.320049/145.287041 Follow the road initially south, then across to Kinglake and down to Hurstbrige, and you're heading for where @Lucky Phil lives. I'd put money on him having been out that way more than a couple of times. This picture from their website speaks volumes, I reckon. Edited November 15 by audiomick 2
audiomick Posted November 15 Posted November 15 (edited) And moving to Germany, there is this: http://www.cafe36-online.de/ A cafe/restaurant with a grill kiosk in front of it, it is at the north end of this stretch. https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/3736190#map=12/51.3963/11.0639 Actually not that pleasant on summer weekends. Too many people with too loud motorcycles, all trying to prove they are at least as fast as Valentino Rossi. But on a week day when the weather is good, a good stop. Edited November 15 by audiomick 2
guzzler Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Bloody great idea for a topic mate! Wish the hell I could post some but after my emails were hacked I need to get this sorted out so I can get back to sharing some photo's. Anyways myself and a couple of mates do this as well ride stop at a pub for lunch where I'll have a soft drink, mates have a light beer and continue on. If we're on a weekend or long weekend ride we'll do the same ride during the day park up about 4 pm ish and head to the pub. Yep, we've got quite a few rippers down here, been past the Flowerdale but never stopped there however can recommend these.. The Dargo Hotel (the real one), The Wally Pub ( Walhalla ), The Poowong pub, The Tarwin Lower ( outside on the deck / balcony overlooking the river) The Tolmie Inn...The Blue Duck @ Anglers Rest to name a few... Cheers 1
guzzler Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Jeez, can't believe I forgot the Nooj ( Noojee Hotel ) just up the road from Nayook Doc Cheers 1

p6x Posted November 15 Posted November 15 This is where I will eventually take a picture of my Moto Guzzi xxxxxxx (not sure which one it will be). This is the location where the movie "Badgad Café" was shot in Newberry Springs, CA. The town of "Bagdad" vanished as many others that did not survive the decline of Route 66. 3
p6x Posted November 15 Posted November 15 (edited) This is the U Drop in, on Route 66 in the Texas Panhandle; There is no issue with drinking there, they only serve pop and icecream. Edited November 15 by p6x 3
p6x Posted November 15 Posted November 15 One of my favorite "water hole" in Brenham Texas. The Pioneer BBQ. This used to be a train depot. 3
p6x Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Another favorite of mine, this time in Navasota, Tx; The walls are decorated with guitars. 3
p6x Posted November 15 Posted November 15 This is the now defunct "Old Gringo" bar and hotel. This is at the very west of Texas, and the owners were biker's friendly. They had a motorcycle exclusive indoor parking!!! a real treat. 3
p6x Posted November 15 Posted November 15 There is a bar in Italy where the Moto Guzzi serves as lounge chairs. They are drinking Prosecco. 4
