is KTM going to the gallows?

Here's a video from Moto.it which seems to have some good information on what happened after last Friday's meeting;

The KTM action which had felled down to 7 EUR is now back up, 18 EUR+ (at the time of the video)

One US Bank, Citi Group, is going to be supervising the proceeding and will inject 700 millions EUR into KTM A.G.

There is also the Indian group "Bajaj" which has interests in the group since Pierer Mobility AG is controled via Pierer Bajaj AG with 50.1% of the shares, and Bajaj Auto with 49.9%.

So Pierer Mobility AG controls KTM with 74.9%; the rest of the actions is floating in the market. You understand that is is a financial holding.

But is seems pretty certain that KTM will be saved, even if Pierer Mobility loses the control of the brand to Bajaj Auto.

According to the media, Stefan Pierer has resigned from the KTM CEO position, although he will remain involved with the restructuring of the company.

The total debt is more than previously announced. It is above 2 Billions Euros, not 1.8 Billions as said before.

KTM has confirmed their participation to the 2025 MotoGP, in spite of everything.

The plan is to pay 30% of the debt to the creditors within two years; that plan will be voted on February 25th, and will pretty much determine the future of the KTM brand.

As posted elsewhere, KTM won the 2025 Dakar with Daniel Sanders.

I suspect Sardarov bought it back for less then he sold it. This often happens with business acquisitions that aren't done well. It's a shame too, because I liked the brands that were coming together under Pierer Group.

Someday I might have an MV Agusta. I seriously considered getting a Superveloce S about a year ago. I'll be watching closely...

I found sad that MV Agusta's official message was to put the emphasis on being separated from KTM and their financial liability. They should have also stated that under Pierer Mobility, they had one of their best year in 2024, sales and dealerships, parts availability.

Sardarov has so far not done that much for them, compared to the short-lived KTM lead. All we heard from Art of Mobility is "good intentions", but I suspect the "good intentions" will stop short of spending too much. It is clear that KTM did not spare expenses to clear the backlog of parts needed to support all their models. As far as I know, this always was one of the main complaint from the owners.

Spares scarcity.

When I was living in Europe, I had developed a crush on the Brutale, but I was never comfortable with the brand.
