@audiomick do you think Stein Dinse can procure some of the parts shown in the drawing below? their website says they can get you anything. I suspect that for what they don't stock, they get it manufactured because they most likely have the blueprints.

I think you're dreaming and they are exaggerating. Some stuff maybe "anything" no. And what they can get re made will need to be in quantities. It's why places like HMB manufacture aftermarket replacement parts.

I have found Stein Dinse to be very well stocked, but don't believe the can get "anything". For instance, I tried to order a breather hose for a small-block a couple of months ago. They informed me that the part is produced on demand. I never got it (and wasn't charged for it). It was ordered with a bunch of other stuff, which all arrived as promised, but the hose never did. I didn't follow it up, because I got one from somewhere else.

Whatever, I would suggest contacting them directly for anything that they list as "not in stock" and try and find out what the real story is with delivery. I'm generally happy with them, but have had a couple of instances where it seemed that things can get lost in the paperwork. Big company with not quite enough people doing the work, I think.

I managed to find a welding shop here, that fixed a broken bracket. It was not easy, because many other places I tried told me it was not worth their while unless they could charge me an incredible amount of money.

I am going to make my own drawing, and try to get a small workshop to do it.

Now that I had a look at the gear selection, I can tell it had been dismantled before, and a missing part lead to the issue I experienced today, which fortunately happened 5' away from home.

This is my second time being unable to change gear, with the V11, and now the Quota.

JW . Which part(s) are you needing ?

BTW , don't go in the front door for things like you are asking . Go in the back door and be nice and see if someone can help you .

What exactly are you looking for? Most parts there are either manufacturable, like the bush for the lever, or substitutable for parts from other models. Stuff like the selector pawl is universal to all five speeds.

BTW , when you deal w/machinists , realize they have to know 10Xs more than the usual person before they can chuck anything up. When you do find one that will work w/you , you $how them your appreciation w/some good old filthy lucre and offer them help w/whatever your craft specialty is .
