Since it's the middle of  winter for many here, and I have an entire motorcycle to assemble from baskets, I thought I'd feed the bears.
It came with afak all the parts except exhaust cans...now we get to the quibbles.
The stock crossover has had whatever is inside it trying to get outside it. I might just cut it open to see what's in there, and have it welded back shut, but I know me and that won't last forever even if successful. I have a complete Staintune system in the box on the shelf... but this bike isn't yet pretty enough to deserve that.
Quibbles; will 1100 Sport stock cans fit the V11 stock crossover?
Will a Staintune V11 system fit a 1100 Sport-i? Mistral crossovers are different for these two bikes, and I'm wondering about the space under the transmission, whether either can be used for the unintended fitup, or both, or neither. Of course I'll be able to answer all these questions when I get the bike on the lift and the transmission back in hand, but I'm tired of cleaning the garage and doing a little evening Navel-gazing.

My V11 Sport crossover was replaced under warranty for a baffle that came loose inside. Not sure what could be accomplished with a couple well placed sheet metal screws . . .

The stock cans from the 1100 Sport should be "really close", but the headers and crossover less likely because of the different gearboxes.

I would find a way to fit the Staintunes. A wonderful, sonorous tune they sing.

Won't fit I don't believe. Not only is the transmission different and will get in the way but the engine is also offset in the V11 Sport compared to the 1100 Sport.

Plenty of opinions here, no doubt all of them valid in their own way. My two cents; Most anything can be made to fit, depending on how much effort you are willing to put into it. But if you expect it to bolt right up I doubt that is going to happen. Some bending, maybe cutting and welding, would likely be required. But as a guy who has made exhausts from a completely different motorcycle from a completely different manufacturer fit when something for my motorcycle simply didn't exist, it can be done. It is just a matter of how much effort are you willing to put into it.

Very little, was the point lol

If it fits, it sits. If not, then the 'Sport will continue on with it's dirty socks and the V11 will get the Staintune, unless a cheap alternative shows up beforehand.

Fair enough.

I made a V11 rear subframe and seat fit on a Daytona. It was more different then I expected, but it wasn't that hard to make fit by my standards and likely much harder than what you are talking about. But I suspect some would have given up as it became apparent how different two related Moto Guzzi's were. As mentioned, things like trans length and how the V11 engine is offset to one side some 10mm or so would likely prevent it from being a direct bolt in option. I would think the 6 speed gearbox from the V11 would be shorter than the 5 speed box for the Sport, but that is a guess. Phil would likely know more specifics on the differences there. So, some of that may depend on which direction you are going. Going from longer gearbox to shorter gearbox seems like less of an issue than going the other way. That would mean more room for the crossover, not less I would think. An exhaust from a V11 should be an easier fit on a Sport then a Sport exhaust on a V11 I would think.
