Rosso Mandello color code for the gray parts

My rear end is a bit more faded (and scratched) than I prefer, and I would like to get it paited. 

Anyone know the color code for the gray part on the rear?

The best color you can paint it is : hydrographics ! You can have it dipped in a CF coating and it will look RIGHTEOUS !

Would like to try to have it looking as close as possible to original 😉

Not long ago, "someone" bought a NOS Rosso Mandello tail section (and side covers) from @Twin AH.

Not sure where they went, though . . .

It's a shame I did not see that post earlier....
That rear end would fit my Rosso Mandello perfectly.

I'll have to settle for a paintjob, luckily I have been able to reproduce the stickers on the side of it, those ain't easy to get a hold of eighter...

Just need to figure out what color it is supposed to be

Shoud be someone in Trondheim with one of those fancy new machines scanning your paint. Had a house call a few months ago, scanning my yellow 1100 Sport, ++.

2 years I think, I was lucky and bought the stickers from Rolf Halvorsen

So many Norwegians!  Love it.

I’ve had mixed luck with the modern computer match options, but if you’ll paint the whole part then that’s easy, as the computer is definitely close enough for that.  It’s just for juxtaposing stock with painted panels, or (god forbid) blending, where it’s risky.

If you have a true expert then you don't need a machine. The guy at the automotive paint shop supplies I use mixed this 2K for my bike. I took him the old alternator bracket off the frame and he matched it by eye. No machine not even using a spray gun just his skills. It's as close to perfect as you can get. In the image is side plate and front frame I painted myself with the original lower frame member for a colour comparison. The colour match is perfect but my spraying and the deep richness and gloss 2K gives straight off the gun is the only difference. These people are rare these days unfortunately. While I was waiting my turn there was a car restorer before me that was having some metallic silver paint matched to the original wheel colour for an old Alfa. Once again he nailed it and the restorer told me this is the only place he sources his paint and matching because the guy is the best there is.

Also the front frame compared to the original paint on the main frame back bone.
