If the bracket has been bent, there is potential for damage to the attachment into the sump spacer of the smaller, bottom fastener. Inspect carefully. Also, the larger, upper fastener that threads into the timing chest is torqued to an astounding 70 Nm. Both of these fasteners tend to loosen over time and benefit from periodic checking and, perhaps, a threadlocking agent, IMCO. 3

I get the same number for the bracket from my 2002 Parts Catalog: 01 43 34 00 When searching, sometimes the "GU" is helpful, and otherwise should be left off.
gstallons Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago When you do get this in and go to put it together , lubricate the pivot w/grease . This will make it easier and last longer. 2
