Guest warsaw Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 Hi V11's I am trying to set up my front forks for brisk riding. Currently I am on 9 clicks above minus for rebound and 5 clicks above minus for compression. I weigh 192 pounds if you're an American that's 13 stone to us Brits. I am 6ft tall. The bike feels lively on bends and I can hustle it along but I wonder if there is an optimum setting that is recommended. Putting extreme tastes aside. Warsaw...or Richard if you prefer
docc Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 W-Richard, I run the rebound and compression at 70-75%. I've also preloaded my springs considerably. At 192 pounds you'll find some 100 kg/cm springs will likey get you closer to where you want to be for sport riding. The stockers may as light as 65 or 70.
