Guest nitro nori 41 Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 To those wise guzzi modifiers, maybe Paul M. My 03 rosso corsa has the solid front axle, im thinking if i get the ohlins bottoms machined out i could change to the bigger axle, whats your thoughts.? Next thought is to fit the 4 pad Brembo callipers, i have expirienced these on my Aprilia, Awsome bite and feel, will need to get new brake hoses to fit the callipers, any other problems,? Look foward to you thoughts and help, JM.
Paul Minnaert Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 That's possible, the one with the tread then has to go to 30mm, and you have to make the 2 bolds to clamp the axle in it. The other side is allready 25 mm as I recollect. For a ducati axle you need 25mm on one side, 30mm on the other. You need an experienced machine shop, if it's not done right, you lose instead of win. Then you need to replace the bearings, and machine an spacer for the lenght between the bearings. Maybe another spacer for one side of the wheel, maybe the old one is re-usable. For the axle you can get a duc 999 axle. For the 4 pad calipers, you need other discs too, because the floaters colide with the calipers. I do have a pair calipers for sale over not to long.
al_roethlisberger Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 .... I was possibly interested in the calipers Paul. What are you asking for them? al
