Baldini Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 What size is the Rear wheel on a Daytona Racing? 17" or 18"? Rim size? Would it go straight in an 02 V11? Thanks, KB
Paul Minnaert Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 it's 18x4.5 made for 160/60x18 No use, but yes it goes straight in, as long as you use the complete rearbrake that belongs to it. Same wheel as first daytona.
Murray Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Not to be confused with the RS daytona which had a 17 inch wheel. Completly off topic but did anyone find out if OZ or similar company make a lightwieght 17/4.5 for a Guzzi? Enquiring minds wish to know. There is a set of Marvics locally for sale off another 1100sport but they are the full magnesium jobbies and I think they will be marginal on our crappy roads.
Paul Minnaert Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Why do you want a 17x 4.5? there are no light aluminium ones made as far as I know. The older aluminium ones were heavy, while they are not forged. Only forged aluminium is light. I had an older pair PVM 3 spoke aluminium, they weigh exact the same as the v11 5.5 wheels. = rearwheel 18kg including brakedisc and tyre. The original daytona( sport1100carb) wheel is only 13 kg. That because there's no cush drive, and the 160 tyre is lighter. The only way you can get a light alu wheel, is to let PVM make one. If they have a 4.5 rim, they can make it fit for a guzzi. But why not a 5.5 then the same time?
