Clutch Line Quickie

Is there supposed to be a crush washer at the end of the clutch line where it screws into the transmission?

 

I've re-installed my line using a crush washer as it seemed the prudent thing to do, but now I cant recall if there was ever one there...If its NOT s'posed to be there, will it do any harm?

Doesn't show one in the parts book. At the lever end yes, at the trans end, no.

 

Don't know why. I've not had it apart but I can't see why putting one in would cause a problem.

Baldini is correct, there is no crush washer at the transmission. I just removed my line last week to change to a longer line and there was no crush washer there.
