staedtler Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 So i bet there's a thread somewhere... just as everyone i'm looking for pipes, i realize that the titanium from the factory is about $1K i would think that the Ghezzi's are in the ballpark, right? Browsing at the Ghezzi site thay have a dealer list, and their tuning parts... anyway i'm trying to contact this place in San Marcos (relat. close to me) called New World Workshop, inc. has anyone heard about this guys? so i'll aprecciate any insight
Guest rrbasso Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 I have been trying to get a price from the dealer in Arozna, with no luck if you find a price plese let me know.
tikkanen Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Hi Staedtler, I'm planning to have a go at the G&B letterbox-type exhaust sytem this winter, so I mailed them in order to get their price list(s). I'll forward the lists to you via email. Regarding the other company I'm as blind as you are, unfortunately. Happy hunting Søren
Guest gooddog Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 looks like you can buy it direct from Quat D.
tikkanen Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Hey Gooddog, That Quat-D exhaust system is actually a lot cheaper than the G&B version (640 Euro vs. 660Euro). Furthermore it seems to me that the Quat-D comes with pipes, brackets, gaskets and what have you (my Italian is a far from fluent - Antonio, where are you??). If the quality is up to speed this could be worth a try. Come on lurkers, anybody out there who has experience with this product??? Thanks in advance Søren PS: Thanks for the info!
Guzzirider Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 If you have no luck finding the GB system, Corsa Italiana in London sell them tel +44 2082397012. I saw one in their tent at the V Twin rally fitted to a brand new V11 Sport. Makes the bike look slimmer by not having the regular silencers each side. I think I also saw one hanging on the wall in Agostinis in Mandello. Regards Guy

gthyni Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Søren, Bröderna Hörberg in Löddeköping (on the other end of the bridge) is G&B resellers. Nice guys too I heard, http://www.br-horberg.com/
tikkanen Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Tjenar' Göran, Thanks for the info - I've never heard of them before, but they are definitely worth a try. I'm not quite sure but don't you have a G&B exhaust on your limey-V11? I may be wrong but it just strucked my mind. BTW are you still on the road or are you already making snögubbar up in Luleå? Søren

This is with a custom PCIII map. David did not use the G&B header pipes, so I do not think that anyone can say whether or not the complete system would be different. If you decide to buy it, I have the PCIIIusb and map ready to go for those in the U.S. Todd@GuzziTech.com

Søren 35269[/snapback] No, G&B/QuadD box, my 2into1 is a homebrewed mod of a stock crossover and a SuperTrapp 4" megaphone. It has been cold nights but sunny days and no snow yet, but I have been to Kiruna a few days and up there they have a thin layer of snow and blow zero 24/7 so winter is on the way.
zebulon Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 To be honest on my SuperTwin prototype i use the G&B exhaust like on the Furia. This is a unhomologuated release of the exhaust. All the exhaust specialists i have met told that i lost at least 10 HP regarding my exhaust internal. In fact using an homologuated for my bike could be more powerfull than the unhomologuated ... I don't know if the internal have been changed. But for a 4v engine the best is a 2 in 1 in 2 exhaust when for a 2v you could put a 2 in 1. The quad-T exhaust is the G&B (quad-t made them for G& This winter my exhaust is going to be completly changed. perhaps also i will put a bigger diameter to go up to 55 or 57 mm diameter to be compliant with the big bore engine.
Guest slowpoke Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 I have the Quat-D on my V11. I believe the previous owner purchsed it at ProItalia in Los Angeles. My impressions of the unit are that it provides a cleaner more custom look to the bike. At idle it is quiet but upon using the throttle and deceleration it is quite a bit louder. I think if your looking for a louder sound I would go with the usual CF canisters. As far as performance goes I don't really have anything to compare it to because I have not ridden a V11 with the dual system. The bike runs great with the exception of an occasional EFI burp. I have not installed the Power Commander but the ECU is remapped and I run K&N pods. I just wonder why the Quat-D is not 2 into 2 if the regular system puts out more horsepower.
