auldy Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 Hi all, I am looking to remove my speedo assemby from the instrument cluster to repair scratches on the cluster housing, could somebody please advise me on how to remove the tripmeter knob from the speedo. Is the reset adjuster held in place by an allen screw or similar, I don't want to force anything first. Regards Auldy
Kiwi Dave Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 I believe it will be a screw fit. Try winding the knob opposite to the normal way to reset the odometer.

After many years of working on cars, a lot of the older tripmeter kobs were held in place with a jewelers style screw. I must admit, I didn't even give a left handed thread a thought. Thanks Regards Auldy
