Guest jlburgess Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Argh, dang gravel. Took me out at about 45 mph, and was lucky enough to walk away. I'm in the market for some parts now - does anyone want to sell? If so please call in US (541) 821-6262. Need: RH mirror RF turn signal clutch and brake levers R spark plug wire R cylinder head guard R valve cover/silver R Mistral aluminum muffler Aluminum adjustable footpegs (factory accessory) Thanks, John Burgess Eagle Point, Oregon
al_roethlisberger Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 .... sorry to hear about your accident John, but glad to hear you are OK al
jrt Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Also glad to hear you're ok. Some parts will probably be cheaper new from other sources, than used MG parts (guessing). turn signals - source from Buell clutch/brake lever- Ducati (or a really nice expensive one from CRG) pegs- again- buell ones can be made to fit Good luck getting it back together. Jason
Guzzirider Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 The list prices for new Guzzi brake and clutch levers are appallingly expensive. Luckily I have yet to need replacements but I bought a couple of pattern levers as spares from Agostinis in Italy. These are identical to the Brembo originals except have silver coloured adjusters rather than gold but if this bothers you just reuse the old adjusters. They worked out at around £20 each (sterling) Contact details for Agostinis: http://www.agostiniduilio.com/negozioflash-ingl.html Reboot spares in the UK are breaking a Rosso Mandello and V11 Le Mans. Not sure what bits they have left but it may be worth dropping them an email. Reboot website http://www.rebootguzzispares.com/index.htm?mainframe.htm&2 Hope you get it fixed soon! Guy
Guest robbrugg Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 Consider polishing both valve covers? You'll save hundreds there...
Guest jlburgess Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Thanks for the good tips fellas. Turns out anyone needing brake and clutch levers can get them for $13.95 from Parts Unlimited. If you only have broken the end off, a late model Ducati lever will mount right up by removing the pin and E-clip, but new levers are silver. 4 position adjusters are still present. Still in desperate need of a right side Mistral aluminum can if anyone has one (or a set cheap maybe?)
kenr Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Can't help out with the parts but wish you luck with the rebuild. At least you walked away in one piece. Safe riding Ken
