tikkanen Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 Hello folks, I found this thread on the Danish Guzzi Club homepage. Before you spam me down I'm well aware this is a V11 homepage, but it's always fun to read (at least I think so) other people's trip reports. Heck, you may even be able to persuade CINCHOUSE that you just have to get those Oxford bags you've been asking for for the last month or so. Enjoy Søren
Orson Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Thanks for the link I always enjoy reading travelogues. This guy lives in a great riding area. The Alps get all the press but, for me, my money is on the south of France. The Alps have unsurpassable scenery but, 47 hairpins in 10 km gets to be a little bit like work! Give me the fast sweepers of southern France!
tikkanen Posted November 27, 2004 Author Posted November 27, 2004 Give me the fast sweepers of southern France! 38018[/snapback] Yep, I'll vote for that, too. I had 3 weeks of beautyful sun in Luberon this summer (near the Mount Ventoux) and the scenary down there is second to none. The locals drive like they've stolen both motorcycles and drivers licence. It's amazing how they drive on the narrow roads on their super motards, preferably KTM Can't really complain about the food and the wine either... Søren
Martin Barrett Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 CINCHOUSE missed that first time through Seriously, well worth a look. There is more than Moto Guzzi and porn on the net. Oh! perhaps not this falls under the first catagory. Must widen my horizons. I like reading your travelogues. Once the constraints of a young family are loosened I look forward to spreading my wings a bit more. I might be able to take in some of the roads that are featured. Two tours planned for next year V11 & Buell weekend, and a week around the GMG. So will bore you with mine. Meanwhile visit this site and perhaps add a word of encouragement. Everyone likes their efforts to be appreciated. My wife has a site and is encouraged greatly by the hit counter going up. When someone signs her guest book it makes her day. Keep him blogging
