JuhaV Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 Hi, Does anyone know are those older and newer model "peg plates" for a 1100 Sport interchangeable ? It seems that the new model has at least one extra hole in the upper corner to hold the rear chassis. I usually don't do any purely cosmetic mods, but I really like the more technical look of the old plate over the newer one. Any idea what the part numbers would be ? br, JuhaV PS. One of those pics shows an interesting peg mod with the brake cylinder relocated.

If they don't interchange, could one remove the stock V11 plates and have a hole in the center machined out?, like the 1100 Sport plates?. It looks like it covers the big frame tube the same as the Sport does, but showing off it's "lightness" - like the Beemers do now on the rear axle - humpf, copy cat Germans <_>
twhitaker Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 There are more subtle differences between the plates. The 6 speed transmission has the output shaft placed out further than the 5 speed does. Take a look at the relative positions of the swing arm pivots.
Paul Minnaert Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 that's not going to work, the sport 1100 frame is 20mm wider where the plates mount. So you can machine an adapter ring( 20mm each side) if you realy want it. I don't think there are more differences, unless your pivot bolts have a different size, they can be 20 or 22mm. i agree on the looks. Maybe with some searching you can get a used pair, let them sandblast , and they are new. And you have to make something to mount the rearframe, or change the rearframe:-) So I bet you're not going to do it.
JuhaV Posted November 29, 2004 Author Posted November 29, 2004 So I bet you're not going to do it. 38090[/snapback] Yeah, Anyway, it would have been an "all show - no go" type mod. Thanks, JuhaV
