Buffetting

No sooner did I read about the dangers of covering your Bike that I noticed severe buffetting on the left side of my fairing. My question is two fold. Can the clear coat be repair? And is there a cover out there that doesn't dull the paint? Now granted most covers will say scratch proof but few are such. Any Ideas besides an indoor garage?

" Can the clear coat be repair?"

You can try a product called Imperial Hand Glaze by 3-M. I have used it with success removing scratches in clear coat and windscreens.

I recently had a gust of wind push my bike to the ground. The entire right side of the Fairing need to be replaced. To add insult to injury due to the wind the cover was flapping and rubbing against ther clearcoat which in turn dulled and scratched it in a few places. I guess for those poor suckers like me that have to park in out door garages these are the dangers, for indoor, well no problem I am sure. :(
