Dirtybill Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 Went to go for a spin today and noticed my tach suddenly doesn't work. It definitely worked the last time I was out. No big deal, as its under warranty, but can anyone save me a trip to the shop with a fix idea? It's an 02 V11 Sport.
Guest Jaap Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 First sign of relay problems. Next your headlight will fail. Replace your relays with Bosch ones. Try the search option for more info. Also heard of a serie bad tachs. Can be replaced under warranty, if you still have it. Jaap
Dirtybill Posted January 8, 2003 Author Posted January 8, 2003 Thanks Jaap. I owned a Quota before this and always carried a spare Bosch relay that I never had to use. Looks like the Sport is a different matter then. Hopefully the shop will replace them all.
Janusz Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 Some shops are better then others. The dealer I bought my bike from (in Chilliwack) replaced relays on his own doing PDI. He also did not charge for PDI and did the first service for free.
