helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 If you want a sidestand you can bid on this Centauro sidestand. ebay Speaking of Centauro's do you think I could put my V10 motor in one of those and have a SUPER SuperTwin?
Guest Steve_W Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Speaking of Centauro's do you think I could put my V10 motor in one of those and have a SUPER SuperTwin? Talk to Jean-Marc (zebulon). His 1225cc monster is exactly that: A much-modified G&B Supertwin with a hopped-up Daytona engine.
zebulon Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Hum, hum so if you have a lot of times or a lot of money and someone that is ok perhaps you could do it , but not for sure :!: You must at least : - remove the battery holder on the top left of the frame - find a way to put the battery somewhere else, (i put it in the front fairing so i was obliged to remove the oem dashboard) - find a way to put the Huge Marelli injection system on this bike (no place for it !) this why with the dashboard problem i decided to use the MotoSpezial unit ! - cut all the timing belt cover, and the timing case too - find a way to protect your timing belt (i have find a sucessfull way to do it) - find a way to have a tachometer because with the 4v engine in the ghezzi frame, you could not use the original one (my answer was the motospezial unit too. and some other little things when you found the answer for all those troubles perhaps you could but still not sure for me My frame is a little different this is why i told not sure at all you could do it because even with this one it was not an easy thing to do and it cost me 2 years of work to finish the bike. Sure now i have the answer and could help someone else to won a lot of time But i think it will only have a real interest if you have a big bore engine otherwise why so much work to have really few more performances than a 2v engine.
