I read a similar test a few years back where there was a track test of an 1100 Sport against the 4 valve Daytona RS. Even though on paper the RS made more horsepower and shared the same frame and cycle parts, they were able to lap faster on the 2 valver which they put down to the nature of the power delivery plus higher profile rear tyre which helped it steer better.

It was the same with the french magazines.

But i owned the 2 bikes and could tell that the Daytona RS run much more stronger when you help her with the exhaust & eprom than a Sport ie in the same conditions.

When bike is liberate a rs run much more stronger than a sporti but as they are so few rs none could have been tryed in such conditions.

Now i recognized that it need some times to know the bike and to be abble to use the way the power is delivered. And what about the 1225 :drink:

For those who don't know the world production of Daytona RS is only 308 unit (and i own 2 of the bikes + 2 spares engines (from crashed bikes) so in fact count me fro 4 unit :cheese: )

On another way i have scan a compariso between Dynotec Daytona and yamaha R1 full power it was in 1999.

And who was the fastest on the track of Fuente in Spain ??? :P

Ok, it was a small track
