Ok I'll say something about this, I believe it is american, 2 stroke, water cooled of all things with a worm drive they called it back in the day. I've been trying to find more pics of it knowing what its called and that isn't easy, This was one rare bike.

Dunno: an early Sunbeam? Looks like their classic vertical in-line twin configuration, but it sure doesn't look like the S7!

It's a BSA, circa 1919.
You sunk my battleship

 

The 1919 Model E BSA - 50 degree V twin and chain drive , but a dead ringer in the chasis and paint.

I was so close. Searching like mad on Stuart Turner as the mill looked so much like their 2 stroke marine engine, but I couldn't find anything on any damn bike!
