Guest rrbasso Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 The little thing inside my head light fell off and was ratteling around inside, so i took the headlight apart and took it out it seems to be a kind of shroud over the bulb , what is the purpos of this ????
al_roethlisberger Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 In theory it cuts down on glare, and helps with the beam pattern. A lot of owner's have fallen off, replaced them, fallen off again.... toss it al

dlaing Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 My beam pattern is better without it....at least for me. As for the oncoming cars, I am not getting flashed for being to bright, so I think it is better off without.
al_roethlisberger Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 What's interesing is that the UK-spec lamp I have in mine now, never had one al
