zebulon Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 During diner time i was working on Miss Dayto ohlins fork Decided to move a little upper the triple clamp on the fork : quite normal Just started to tighten of ergal screws when of those decided to split in 2 parts Know i much find a way to remove the end of the screw from inside the low clamp :!: So must put down the fork etc ...
Paul Minnaert Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 You put ergal in to tighten the legs in the clamps????? never do that. Much to weak. how to get them out depends on how much is left. anyway, no fun. Maybe better take the clamps of and take it to a shop. There are tools for this sort of misery.
jrt Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 How about a left-handed drill and/or easyout? Whatever you do (I'm sure you already know) take it easy and don't damage the threads.
