Now i bought a frontfork in texas and the seller, an honest guy to me, told me that the shipping is even more than the buying price trough fedex, ups is even more expensive....any tips? I'm in Holland! Thanx in advance! Peter
Mike Stewart Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Hi Peter, From my experence in shipping parts as well as buying parts from Europe and the rest of the world, the US Postal service is usually the lowest price (shipping from the States). I always check with Fedex, but the Postal service is always lower. Now it will take longer for the package to arrive, but it is just one of those things which is, lower price on shipping equals slower shipping times. Good luck, Mike Hello guys, Dont know it this topic is right here but i realy could use some tips or help about shipping from the states... Steve G. Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 One thing you really should try to avoid is the brokerage fees charged by the private carriers. They are stupid expensive. As you live in Europe, the only way I can see you avoiding those costs is to put the stuff in the mail. Ciao, Steve G.

Mike Stewart Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Peter, I ran the numbers from the USPS web site and from California the lowest price I could find with USPS was $141.80 US dollars (from California). Something does not seem right with the shipping expense. You might want to shoot Jaap an email since he lives in Holland also. I Just purchased a fuel tank from the UK and the shipping was $120.00, so for more weight the price might be correct.
