helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Spectacular results of MGS transported from shop in western Canada to Newcastle upon Tyne. Proof here on ebay!!!! Beam me over Scottie!
Martin Barrett Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 And what does he have against a 1984 Ford Escort I take its the same picture as the previous one and therefore suspected to be a scam. Arh the big downside to the internet, used by people. I hate them. People that is especialy at New Year. Being a Bobby out on footpatrol the 15minutes either side of midnight people ever so friendly. Rest of the year couldn't give a ..... . Thats probably being a bit unkind it's a time when they feel they can be, and social etiquette is relaxed. There are those friendly souls who bring out cups of tea when you're stuck on cordon. I don't think that they do it maliciously to fill you up with tea and then deny you the use of the loo 20 years of working with the worse people starts to colour your judgement, and thats just my peers.
Guzzirider Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 This is the same MGS01 that M and S motorcycles in Newcastle have been trying to flog for ages. They are turning up bloody everywhere now- Conquest motorcycles in Dorset now have one too! I think that takes us to 8 now in the UK- with 2 sold I think. Guy
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted April 5, 2005 Author Posted April 5, 2005 Actually the picture is of my own MGS on display for the dealership where I purchased it. The bloody b@$&%!d has used a photo of my bike to sell an MGS. I suspect he doesn't even have one to sell. I recieved an ebay notice regarding the first one that people may be using items like this to solicit responses from people and thereby get their email address or even get someone to pay for a non existant item. I reckon these people would offer you a cup of tea (spiked) and then offer the use of the loo so they could take photo's of you. There is always the possibility it is just some expat from Newcastle playing a practical joke but I doubt it!

Guzzirider Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 NOPE! That's my MGS, boyo! 47892 Confused here. Have they just nicked the photo of your bike Jim?
Guest Nogbad Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 NOPE! That's my MGS, boyo! 47892 Shall we flame the bastard???
Guzzirider Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 The funny thing is that I have been corresponding this afternoon with the seller to see if he wants my car as a straight swap!!!
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted April 5, 2005 Author Posted April 5, 2005 I hope we catch the thief that has stolen Zebulons bike first but we could use this bugger as the projectile for the firing squad!
Guzzirider Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 A bit of Googling has led me to deduce that the purported seller works for Kawasaki Newcastle.
Martin Barrett Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 sold lots of kawa and aprilla bits plus a few odds and sods - knocking of the parts warehouse?
Guzzirider Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Yes I think he works in the parts department according to the website.
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted April 5, 2005 Author Posted April 5, 2005 I wonder what his employers think of him?
Paul Minnaert Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 instead of spending so much internet time, the phone number is in ebay, so why doesn't someone call him to ask some questions?
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted April 5, 2005 Author Posted April 5, 2005 That is on my list of things to do but I am waiting for the cheap calling rates from Canada wich coincide with late at night in the UK. That suits me!
