tank removal mistake

Recently purchased a used 2004 Lemans and I wanted to removed the gas tank to check the condition of air filter, fastners, and electrical conectors. The tank slipped out of my hands (tank 3/4 full) and crack the plastic fittings coming out of the pump plate from under the tank. Does any one know if the plastic elbows (red and white)can be replaced seperately (they do spin). Or do I have to order the whole fuel pump assembly?

Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but man I feel for your slip up. The simplest things sometimes reach out and bite ya.

Well I looked in the parts list, it's not a seperate part you can order. Maybe becuase you can turn it, you can get it of and mount someting else on it. I have a aprilia rsv pump here there is such a thing screwd in. YpOur dealer might have an idea?

I have owned two milles and one of them leaked right at the interface where the pump was screwed into the tank. Something to consider before using one on a guzzi.

Anyone elses tank seem to be alittle loose? Having only the one screw in the back and those mx style rollers up front does not lead to a snug fit. It does not come off but it does wiggle a little bit when I tug on it. Is this normal for a guzzi?

You have the standard set up. There is some movement, but nothing I ever notice or find a concern. Don't worry, it'll stay on.
