auldy Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Hi All, finally had the Scura registered this week after fixing it from cosmetic insurance write off purchase. Runs like a charm and I have utilised some of the Ohlins suspension settings I found on the forum. I am going to replace the fairing with an original if possible. Can anyone out there advise if there are any size differences in the fairings apart from the frame mount/fork mount of the headlight between the Scura, Cafe Sport and the Ballabio. If one is naturally cheaper than the other I will buy that model fairing. Photo Attached Cheers Auldy
Martin Barrett Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Spent all Summer in the workshop- ready in time for your Autum. Are your Winters mild so won't effect your enjoyment? Sorry can't help with the fairing question
Admin Jaap Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Looks great! Well done The Café Sport/Ballabio/Coppa-Italia fairing are mounted completely different from the Scura's. So mounting points are likely to be different. A new original Scura fairing will set you down about € 300,-
dbdicker Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 there was a bloke on this forum, name dfriz I think, owned a Scura and replaced his fairing with something else (maybe Magni?) . He offered it to me when my Scura had a low speed get off but my fairing wasn't damaged. Try to track him down, he may still have it at a good price. Dan
auldy Posted April 28, 2005 Author Posted April 28, 2005 Thanx Dan, have dropped him an email, it was friz Regards Auldy
Guest Fox Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 I saw a Scura on Wentworth Ave in the city on Wednesday morning .. was it you?
auldy Posted April 30, 2005 Author Posted April 30, 2005 No, I work in around Strawberry Hills, but live at Ingleburn, normally drive to work as I have a car supplied. Going for an early morning run tomorrow to Picton then back via Razorback to Camden for a coffee then home. Regards Auldy
